DETAILS: These classes will provide you with both hand and machine embroidery skills to create your own stitched illustrations. You will be taught how to draw with your sewing machine and hand embellish your samples. You will get the choice of working with a wide range of threads and fabrics, including dissolvable fabric and Bondaweb. You can be a complete beginner or want to learn more techniques and processes. The aim of the sessions is to have fun with a wide range of techniques which you could adopt for future projects of your own. All sessions will be in a relaxed environment where skills and techniques can be shared.
WHAT’S INCLUDED? All resources including machine and hand embroidery threads as well as fabric will be provided.
TUTOR: Michelle is an experienced tutor and lectured in fashion and textiles for 27 years. She has an Honours Degree in Fashion Design from Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and holds a PGCE from the University of Exeter.
REFRESHMENTS: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided at each session.
