This workshop is designed to develop your skills using circular needles or double pointed needles. In this workshop you will receive a sock kit which will contain your sock pattern, needles and yarn required to make a pair of socks. You will be taught how to read and follow a sock pattern as well as learn techniques to shape the heal and toes. Techniques such as grafting are taught to improve your finish.
All materials to make a pair of socks (needles, yarn and pattern) will be provided.
TUTOR: Michelle is an experienced tutor and has been lecturing in fashion and textiles for 27 years. She has an Honours Degree in Fashion Design from Ravensbourne College of Art and Design and holds a PGCE from the University of Exeter.
REFRESHMENTS: Tea, coffee and cake will be provided at each session.
LOCATION: Workshops will be held at Seam Haberdashery, 21 Fore st, Topsham.
